Reviewed against the current ROOC guide pool and still useful for today's build planning.
Summary
An original Gunslinger route guide for players comparing major firearm styles before committing resources.
Best for
Players joining the Gunslinger wave and deciding which Rebellion route fits their account.
Our take
Gunslinger is strongest when you commit to a weapon identity instead of mixing every exciting showcase into one confused build.
Gunslinger is not one build
The biggest mistake with Gunslinger is treating every firearm route as the same class plan. Gatling, Desperado, rifle, pistol, and shotgun ideas can all point toward different combat rhythms. Some routes emphasize sustained pressure, some want burst windows, and others feel better in specific PvE or PvP situations. Before spending heavily, decide what kind of combat you actually enjoy.
This matters because Gunslinger arrived with a lot of hype. New class excitement creates many videos quickly, but not every video answers the same question. A damage showcase, weapon comparison, Pioneer balance clip, and class overview all belong on the Gunslinger page for different reasons.
How to compare the routes
Gatling-style play should be judged by uptime, safety, and how often you can keep pressure active. Desperado-style play should be judged by access, risk, and whether the payoff justifies the positioning needed. Rifle-focused builds deserve attention from players who want a more weapon-specific route and do not want to default to the most discussed options.
Pistol and shotgun pages are useful because they remind players that Rebellion has multiple identities. Watch the footage for how the route moves and engages, not only for the final result. If the style looks uncomfortable, the strongest numbers on screen may not matter for your account.
PvE and PvP are different tests
A Gunslinger route that feels excellent in PvE may be harder in PvP if enemies can interrupt, dive, or deny space. A PvP route may feel exciting but inefficient for daily farming. Decide whether your main goal is bossing, farming, guild fights, or general play, then prioritize the sources that match that goal.
Because the class is still hot, expect opinions to change. Keep one baseline build page, one weapon route page, and one balance or comparison page in your review loop before spending serious resources.
Before committing, decide whether you want Gunslinger to be your main damage identity or a class you are testing because it is currently popular. A main deserves a cleaner route plan and slower spending. A test character should stay conservative until the weapon style feels good in your own hands.
